Every Teardrop Is a Waterfall

Track

"Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall" is the first track announced from Coldplay's fifth album, "Mylo Xyloto". The The Every Teardrop is a Waterfall Songfacts reports that Chris Martin was inspired to write the upbeat song after hearing the dance track Ritmo de la Noche by Lorca during a nightclub scene in the Javier Bardem film Biutiful. The track is based on I Go To Rio written by Peter Allen and Adrienne Anderson, hence their credits as writers on this tune. Coldplay returned to the charts with epic single 'Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall', which debuted at No.6 on it's release in June 2011. The track contains elements of Peter Allen's camp classic 'I Go To Rio', a No.1 single in his native Australia back in 1977. Read more on Last.fm.
