Artist bio

There are several artists using the name DBA.

1) dba are Shaz Sparks on vocals and Robbie Bronnimann on keyboards & programming. dba was started in 1996 out of the breakup of 65 dBA. Their sound is that of techno, trance & dance featuring Shaz's hallmark haunting angelic voice.

Bubble was released by Warner Alliance that same year. Reviews state this was "moving away from overt Christian themes and condensing themselves down to a pure dance-pop duo..."1 Oddly, their official website makes no mention of this 'first' album. Some sites list the band name for this album as 'dBA', derived from dropping the '65' from name of their previous band (note, the case difference to the all lower case used currently). Album credits show it is Robbie and Shaz as the creative force behind it.

Later albums, such as Spectrum, in 2001, and Twister, in 2002, and multiple promotional releases have been done under the dtox http://www.dtox.co.uk label.

Besides working on and releasing their own albums, Robbie and Shaz also remix other artists - such as Chicane, Matt Darey, Howard Jones.2

Their own work has been played by dj's worldwide, both on the radio and in clubs.3

2) DBA - Downes Braide Association. Group created in 2012 of Geoff Downes and Chris Braide.
