    The Unlimited plan gives you 15 mainstream track credits per month - licensed chart hits from world-famous artists, claims-managed and ready to use. On top of that, our royalty-free catalogue has no cap: use as many tracks as your videos need, across as many uploads as you like.

  • Can I still monetize my YouTube video if I use music from Lickd?

    Absolutely! Lickd is the first copyrighted music licensing platform that allows you to use great music AND avoid demonetization, with built-in protection from copyright claims.

    As a YouTube partner, we integrate directly into YouTube’s Content ID to tell YouTube you’ve got permission to use a track. If YouTube still decides to put a claim on your video, we’ll be on hand to sort it, so you have nothing to worry about.

  • How do I use my license?

    Once you’ve purchased a license from Lickd, you’ll get an Mp3 download to add to your video.

    When you’re ready to upload your video to YouTube, include your license attribution in your video description and upload your video as “Unlisted” with plenty of time before you need your video to go public. This allows our automated system VOUCH to clear any claims for you (usually within 30 minutes), or for our dedicated music support team to jump in and clear any claims for you. Once any claims are sorted you can put your video live without any worry!

  • Why do I need to create an account and link a YouTube channel?

    Most importantly, connecting your YouTube channel allows us to whitelist your channel for stock music use and clear copyright claims on licensed music!

  • How long is my license valid for?

    Most of our licenses are granted forever so there’s no danger of your video ever being taken down, even if you end your subscription. Just make sure to use licenses within 6 months of purchase. Some tracks have exceptions but this will always be clear in your license agreement before you purchase!

  • Why don't you have all the music in the world?

    There are over 1.4 million tracks available to you on Lickd, but we appreciate we’re still missing some big artists like Beyoncé, Ed Sheeran, and Taylor Swift. It’s our goal to get all 25M top tracks available to you but this requires us to get those rights from the copyright owners and that takes time.

  • Can I use Lickd for music channels or lyric videos?

    In short, no. Our ‘premium’ copyrighted music licenses do not permit the songs to be used for lyric videos or by themselves as an ‘art track’ (for example, with just an image of the album artwork, a black screen, static images, stock footage, etc).

    That’s because our licenses have been created for those who need background music for their original video content. The type of videos described above are deemed not to use songs as background music for content, but simply as a way for viewers to stream the song itself. This is copyright infringement and therefore cannot be covered by our licenses. This restriction also concerns AI-generated lyric videos.

  • What's the difference between a mainstream track credit and the royalty-free catalogue?

    Your monthly mainstream track credit lets you license a chart hit - a track from a major artist like Sabrina Carpenter, Post Malone, Coldplay, or The Weeknd - for use in one video. These are the songs your audience already knows and loves. The royalty-free catalogue is unlimited: browse and use as many of those tracks as you like, across as many videos as you like, with no additional cost.
