Top artists
Without further ado, here are creators’ favourite music artists in 2021:
1. David Guetta
EDM/Deep House producer David Guetta is one of the most successful DJs and music producers in the world. Taking the number 1 spot on this list, it would seem that he’s popular amongst creators too. Great news is that right at the start of 2022 we managed to get you access to his hit track ‘Titanium’! So, we’re sure to see more of David Guetta’s success in 2022.
Top hits: Titanium, Memories ft KiD CuDi, ‘Remember’ by Becky Hill, Would I Lie To You
2. XXXTENTACION
XXXTENTACION is one of the most sought-after artists on Lickd. XXX was a controversial rapper who rose to fame pretty fast and is still highly popular today, even after he sadly passed away in 2018.
Top hits: Jocelyn Flores, Hope, Everybody Dies In Their Nightmares, SAD!, Moonlight
3. Bazzi
Multi-platinum singer, songwriter and producer, Bazzi is a force to be reckoned with. His catchy pop tunes are right at home at the top of the charts. His hit ‘Myself’ was used in one of our favourite dance videos of the year by Tim Milgram. Absolutely stunning choreography & dance performance – you won’t regret watching it.
4. Anne-Marie
5. Surfaces
6. Internet Money
7. Meduza
8. The Offspring
9. Roxette
10. Iron Maiden
Top Songs
1. Lemonade – Internet Money, ft. Don Toliver, Gunna & NAV
Internet Money, a record producer collective, brought together rappers Don Toliver, Gunna & NAV to create this super popular and TikTok trending hit. At the start of 2022, this song had almost a billion streams on Spotify and 600,000 uses in videos on TikTok. No surprise really that it’s a creator favourite.
2. Memories (2021 Remix) – David Guetta, KiD CuDi
Originally released in 2009, our no.1 artist David Guetta collaborated with American rapper Kid CuDi to make this banger of a dance track. The fact it’s still this popular in 2021 and even has its place on TikTok is testament to its success. It’s especially popular with fitness creators, but it can probably add more energy to your videos too.
3. Sunday Best – Surfaces
American electro-pop duo Surfaces really struck gold with their hit song ‘Sunday Best’. This uplifting, positive anthem will make all your worries go away and make your viewers feel oh so happy whilst watching your content (and who doesn’t want that?).
4. Paradise – Dermot Kennedy, Meduza
7. FRIENDS – Anne-Marie ft. Marshmello
8. Love Me Again – John Newman (Just proof that FIFA songs go for gold, even years after release!)
9. The Kids Aren’t Alright – The Offspring
10. You & Me (Flume Remix) – Disclosure, Eliza Doolittle

2022 will bring even more, even bigger, and better chart music for creators to license… for the first time in history. We can’t wait to see how this unfolds and we’re eternally grateful that you’ve joined us on our mission of making popular music available to creators.
Here’s what Lickd CEO Paul Sampson had to say:
“We always knew chart music was in great demand by content creators and we’re delighted to be able to offer them such a great selection. What has been validated here, though, is that both catalogue and legacy acts can resonate just as much with these creators as the more contemporary, frontline acts. There are millions more songs coming to Lickd this year and we’re all excited to see what other insights emerge as we grow the catalogue and the user-base.”
