Tell us about your daily routine when working from home?

First thing I do is eat, as I can’t function well without food. Quick sweep of the news and socials to see what’s going on. Then I decide a game plan for the day, which project to focus on. I will then proceed to procrastinate for many hours, often cleaning or reorganising something until I really have to crack on.

What’s your no.1 tip for staying motivated?

Pretend it’s a Monday morning, no matter what day it is. It helps kick you up the bum to be productive.

What’s the best thing about working from home?

Unlimited snack runs, and wearing pyjamas for 3 days straight.

What’s the worst thing about working from home?

Cabin fever, it’s hard to switch off when you work, live and play in the same space.

What advice do you have for Creators who are sharing a home workspace with friends, partners or family?

I share my home with my boyfriend and we tend to work in different rooms, alternating different spaces fairly. Later on we come together for dinner.

How do you look after your mental health when working from home?

I take myself for a brisk walk if I need a moment, it’s ok to put down a project and do something comforting. I like to paint my nails as a bit of self-love or watch 20-30 mins of a History documentary. WILD I know.

What should you absolutely never do when trying to be productive from home?

Don’t force yourself to keep being productive if it’s not working. This lockdown has taught me that I have a real issue with needing to feel productive and active and that it’s also OK and sometimes even better for my work if I don’t push it when it’s not right.

What’re your 3 top tips for a successful video call?

  • Warn others in the house you are about to make a call, (stops partners in the nude striding in).
  • Wear trousers, just incase.
  • Make sure you are in optimum range of the wifi.

What’s your go-to ‘let’s get this done’ track?

Simon Says – Pharoahe Monch !!!!!

Talking of music to get you through, if Simon Says isn’t quite your vibe, we’ve got a working from home playlist that’s perfect for soundtracking your day. Enjoy!
